Fiona

Well it has been busy!!!  A little while ago I organised for Fiona to model for me.  This came after a discussion at a mutual friends home where Fiona expressed that she had a hard time getting a good photo of herself.  Naturally I saw this as a challenge!  We met on two occasions – once on location and once in a studio setting.  Fiona liked the idea of exploring heavy shadowing and like me she has a bit of a “thing” for black and white.  Although black and white is mostly what has been gone for, I must admit I couldn’t go past the colour of her gorgeous blue eyes…….yep that is her real eye colour…..no adjustments made!  Fiona, I hope you love the outcome as much as I do and we achieved what you wanted to achieve.

Dance Workshop

One of my photographic passions in life is that of movement.  When the opportunity arose to attend a dance workshop held by Jon L Miller I jumped at the chance.  The workshop was an amazing day and we were blessed by the presence of dancer extraordinaire Elyse Huxtable who continually amazed me with her form, strength, fitness and above all else her professionalism and work ethic.  Elyse was a perfectionist and it didn’t matter how many times you asked her to repeat the same move she was as committed as those of us there to getting that perfect shot.  This is one dancer that has a massive career ahead of her!  Here are some of my results;

Studio Shoot

Exploration of different fields and styles of photography is important.  With this shoot I wanted to explore and achieve pure white and black through the use of studio lighting.  I really love the results and my beautiful model Naomi really nailed a combination of sexiness and vulnerability.
